This movie is one of a kind. The plot is beyond anything seen in other movies, and I watched it several times to fully understand it.
The characters roles were very complex. The protagonist (batman) is now a symbol of vigilante justice, this is shown through copy cats of batman who use his image of wild west justice to take law and order in their own hands, resulting in vigilantes doing more harm than good. Batman must find a way to symbolize law and order as the more effective system against crime. On the other hand the Joker, played by Heath Ledger, a psychopath/anarchist fights to destroy the symbol of order through chaos making the character completely unpredictable.
Excellent performances, great action scenes, as i said earlier amazing plot, a true masterpiece! if you haven't seen this movie then go see it.

I believe this movie is "good" because of Heath Ledger. His performance was outstanding! This movie isn't remarkable, Heath as "The Joker" is!
Bale is really bad, sorry but he is! and has an annoying voice. I remember once i was watching "equilibrium" and this was my face: ¬¬" so as TDK. i wanted to get out of the place, but I'd paid to see it!
It's really sad to see this movie ranked on #5, leaving spectacular ones behind like "The Lord of The Rings. I remember when i watched LOTR for the very first time, i was speechless. It's the BEST movie ever of course! and i cried at the end of Return of the King, well. who doesn't?
I don't know if is OK for me to say this but. i believe TDK succeed because of Heath's death. The media overwhelmed him, and his last completed movie in so many levels. But he ended his carrier as an actor in a perfect way ;D.

Umm, I am speechless or in this case, typeless to not even describe how this movie is. There is a turn at every corner and I mean awesome freaking out heart stopping scary stuff. Also, there are several beautiful visual effects going on here like the spectacular Batman-jumps-out-of-window- into-plane-with-Chinese-crook-in-hand stunt. That was awesome. The hospital explosion was great as well and Harvey dies? If you watched the first movie then prepare to get your shoes, socks and everything blown off then this is the movie for you. I really sorry that Heath Ledger died though. He was a great actor in this movie. Just watch it, don't hesitate, watch it. Good luck.
